I found this one in Louisiana between Ville Platte and Opelousas. While photographing the building I got the feeling that Joubert might still be living there. As machines replaced draft animals in the Delta the feed business started to drop off. Joubert began to stay upstairs for a second cup of coffee each morning. As time passed he began to wait for the first customer to call before he came down and unlocked the doors. He may be there yet.
