Last Chance
This building stood on Route 66, in Arizona, between Seligman and Kingman. The town could be Hackberry, Valentine, Truxton, or Peach Springs. Because of the rough terrain and sparse population, the interstate was put down right on top of the old road in many parts of the west. The section of 66 between Seligman and Kingman is a welcome exception. Here the old road goes north while the four-lane goes south. Unfortunately for the proprietor of this gas station, not many travelers take the northern route.
